Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how David Popplewell ("I", "me", or "we") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit davidpopplewell.com (the "Site") or contact me through it. By using the Site or submitting the contact form, you agree to this policy.

Information I collect

I collect only what I need to respond to you and run the Site:

  • Information you give me. When you submit the contact form, I collect the details you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and message, plus anything else you choose to include.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site and its providers may record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies.

How I use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and follow up about the portfolio brands, partnerships, or opportunities you asked about.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
  • To protect the Site against fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

I do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

How I share information

I do not sell or rent your personal information. I share it only with:

  • Service providers who help me run the Site and manage inquiries — including my website and forms platform, HighLevel (LeadConnector), which processes contact-form submissions on my behalf.
  • Legal and safety recipients where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and property.

Cookies and analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember preferences, and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the Site function.

Data retention

I keep contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When information is no longer needed, I delete or anonymize it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and the EU/UK, among others, may have specific rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA and the GDPR. I do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, email me at the address below and I will respond as required by applicable law.

Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your information, and rely on established providers to do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

International visitors

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the revision.
